Power Blast Ltd, of Camberley, U.K., are marketing a portable free- standing shotblasting unit priced at 10,000 pounds sterling. It is housed in a standard ISO container, approximately one-third of which is partitioned off to contain all the necessary equipment and controls, while the remainder forms a well-lit sound-insulated blasting room. The shot collection and recovery pit, incorporated in the floor, is 150 mm deep and includes a mini-elevator to cope with the output of a continuously working shotblasting machine. The unit could be moved around among the fleet of a shipping company; or it could be transported by lorry and left on the trailer for site operation, using existing site services.
