PROGRESS IN THE INVESTIGATION OF INTERACTIONS BETWEEN PROPELLER AND AXIALLY SYMMETRIC MODEL

An experimental programme of force and pressure measurements on a ducted propeller has been performed in the cavitation tunnel at Schiffbauversuchsanstalt Potsdam <SVA>. A refined vortex calculation model was also developed to determine the influence of blade number and geometry, tunnel effect and viscosity on nozzle efficiency. The measured and calculated results are compared.
