TOURMODI. A SPECIALISED CHEMICAL TANKER BUILT BY THE YSSEL-VLIET COMBINATIE B.V

Toumodi is a 6,525-dwt chemical tanker built by De Groot & Van Vliet Shipyard and Engineworks, Ridderkerk, to the order of the Nigerian State shipping company SITRAM to whom she was delivered in January, 1984. Principal particulars include: Length 100m o.a., 90m b.p.; Breadth 16m; Draught 7.85m; Cargo tank capacity: integrated centre tanks <stainless steel Avesta 832 SKR-4> 4440 cum - integrated wing tanks <coated> 1220 cum; propulsion MaK medium speed diesel type 6M35, output 3,600 hp at 750 rpm. The normal design practice of this yard in providing a shelterdeck above the cargotank area has been followed in the construction of Toumodi. The ship also embodies the latest energy-saving features.
