COMPARATIVE STRENGTH ANALYSIS OF TWO VARIANTS OF LEG STRUCTURES FOR A SELF-ELEVATING PLATFORM FOR THE BLACK SEA

The strength of two variants of leg structure for a self-elevating platform for the Black Sea is analysed in towing and operating conditions. The program system ICES Strudl II is used for the calculation of stresses and displacements through a displacement-type finite element method. The numerical results are given in the form of graphs. Based on these results conclusions are made and discussed.
