A STUDY OF HUMAN RESOURCES IN SHIP OPERATION. PHASE 2 REPORT

This report, which is in microfiche form, analyses the results of a questionnaire dealing with topics such a habitability, noise and vibration, equipment design, automation, reduced manning, job satisfaction, health and safety, and work/rest cycles that was administered to over 500 seafarers on 20 ships selected to be representative of the U.S. merchant fleet. Phase 1 of the study <not reported here> was a literature survey.
