POWER GENERATION BY WASTE HEAT RECOVERY

Following the oil crisis of 1973 and the consequent rapid increase of oil prices, waste heat recovery <WHR> systems have become almost universally accepted as a means of optimising fuel efficiency. The authors, of Peter Brotherhood Ltd., describe modern WHR configur- ations and their design criteria for maximum economic effect. A systems approach to design is advocated.
