FACTORS AFFECTING THE INJURY SEVERITY OF ADULT PEDESTRIANS INVOLVED IN ROAD ACCIDENTS

British accident statistics are analysed with respect to the severity of injuries sustained by adult pedestrians when struck by a motor vehicle. Particular attention is paid to vehicle design and small, but statistically significant, differences in accident severity are found between different models of cars. /TRRL/
