SEAKEEPING TRIALS WITH HNLMS TYDEMAN

This report is in microfiche form. The purpose of the trials was to determine the amplitude response functions for heave, pitch, roll, and the vertical displacement of the bow, in longitudinal and oblique waves for the oceanographic research vessel HNLMS Tydeman. The influence of the free-surface anti-rolling tank on the rolling motion in beam seas was also investigated; a roll amplitude reduction of about 30 per cent was achieved.
