LPG-TANKER CLEAN RIVER FOR "K"-LINE

The LPG tanker Clean River was recently completed at the Kobe yard of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd for the Japanese operator "K" Line. The ship is "K" Line's second LPG tanker and will go into service along with her sistership Sun River on long-term charter to Kyodo Petroleum Company, Ltd. Principal particulars are:- Length 215m o.a. 204m b.p.; breadth 34.0m; depth 23m; design draught at full load: 11.2m; draught at full load <summer> 12.0m; tonnage 27,037 dwt, 43,413 gross; cargo capacity at 20 deg.C. Propane tanks 18,508 t; Butane tanks 57,804 t; Main engine Kawasaki-M.A.N. 4-stroke single- acting trunk piston diesel engine type 14V52/554, m.c.r. 14,770 hp; service speed 15.6 knots.
