INSTRUMENTATION FOR MAINTENANCE PAINTING

The purpose of this paper is to examine the range of instrumentation that is available to the maintenance painter today, and the separate stages and site situations which make specialised demands on the instruments used. The basic principles of instrument design and operation are outlined for both destructive and non-destructive measurement of paint film thickness.
