THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE DYNAMIC PARAMETERS OF SUBMERSIBLES IN WIND TUNNELS

Trials of submersibles in wind tunnels are carried out on the basis of the similarity of the conditions to those found in hydrodynamic test tanks. Following a brief discussion of the classical formulae for the representation of the moment of dynamic forces, a non-linear formulation is envisaged in relation to the state variables which does not presuppose the form of the model. The major problem in the identification of dynamic parameters is still that of processing in a high noise to signal environment. Different trials procedures and suitable methods of processing are proposed.
