A FAST MULTI-PURPOSE VESSEL FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC SAFETY IN THE COASTAL REGION

A concept for a fast, small-sized, multi-purpose vessel for operations concerned with the maintenance of public safety within the coastal region is summarised. Main particulars of the vessel which has unlimited sea-going characteristics, even in very shallow and dangerous waters, include the following: Length, o.a. 36.0m <approx.> Breadth 7.60m <approx.>; Draught 2.5m. Trial speed about 25 knots with displacement of 165 tons and a total engine power of about 4,400 kW. Reserve displacement and useful load about 25 tons.
