OZONE AND NITROGEN OXIDES IN GAS-SHIELDED ARC WELDING

This report is in microfiche form. A brief review is given of an extensive research programme into the formation of ozone and nitrogen oxides in connection with gas-shielded arc welding. A detailed description is given of the amounts of these pollutants generated and how the concentrations vary in space under controlled airflow conditions. Methods of reducing ozone generation are described.
