INTEGRATED ANALYSIS OF AIR TRAVEL DEMAND IN EUROPE

This paper describes the Integrated Airport Competition Model (IACM) developed to assess the effect on air travel of deregulation, increased competition and new networks. Section 2 describes current and expected developments in air demand and supply that have influenced the development of the IACM model. Section 3 describes the overall structure of the system and its main components. Section 4 describes the application of the model to the situation in the Netherlands with the emphasis on the definition of geographical zones. Section 5 explains how the system can be used for other airports or airport clusters in Europe. For the covering abstract see IRRD 867721.
