NIGHT VISION, VISUAL PERCEPTION AND MOTORCYCLISTS' CONSPICUITY

The objective of this presentation is to familiarize motorcycle riders with the physiological complexities of the visual system, the differences between daytime vision and night-time vision, and the response time required in an emergency situation. The main objective is to impress upon motorcycle riders the importance both of seeing and being seen. Conspicuity is at issue and use of conspicuity-enhancing techniques could help eliminate many of the hazards of operating a motorcycle.
