JFK AIRPORT INTEGRATED TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) is responsible for the operation of John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This responsibility includes the facilitating of all airport access and ground transportation activities related to airport operations. In recent years, PANYNJ officials identified a need to integrate and coordinate all of its landside ground transportation efforts. Consequently, PANYNJ commissioned a study to inventory existing and proposed JFK systems whose functions are related to the operation of landside ground transportation facilities and to develop a conceptual Master Plan for an Integrated Landside Traffic Management and Control System (INTMAC) which will enable integration and coordination among these systems.
