THE HARLOW DIAL-A-BUS EXPERIMENT

The design and implementation of an experimental dial-a-bus system in Harlow are described. At the time of implementation this was the largest dial-a-bus system in Britain. To facilitate the design of further systems, the mode of operation, chronology of major events and financial aspects are presented in some detail. The programme of research and evaluation of the experiment is also discussed. (A) /TRRL/
