AN ANALYSIS OF THE MINI-ASAP REHABILITATION COUNTERMEASURES: 1974. ANALYTIC STUDY FOR 1974

The Rehabilitation Study deals with major treatment programs in the Mini-ASAP erea: disulfiram, Alcoholics Anonymous and court scholl programs. The study objective was to determine the effectiveness of treatment. Regression analysis was use to determine the effectiveness of treatments with regard to the reduction of DUI and crash recidivism. Three questions were studied: How effective is treatment vs. no treatment? How effective are the various treatment modalities? How effective is disulfiram when given alone vs. disulfiram in combination with other treatments? These questions were analyzed by looking at the driving records of persons who entered treatment in 1974 after seven months of exposure to rehabilitation. They were also analyzed by looking at the records of persons who entered treatment in 1973 after eighteen months of exposure to rehabilitation. Major findings are included. /Author/
