INFLUENCE OF ADHESIVE ADDITIONS ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF ROAD MINERAL-ASPHALT MIXTURES

This paper presents results of research regarding influence of two different adhesive additions (anionic, cationic), in thin films on a surface of two different mineral materials (limestone, granite) determining in the single research scheme two important features of a binder: its cohesion and adhesion to the mineral surface. Efficiency of influence exerted by additions selected for testing was also checked in asphaltic concrete containing gravel aggregate whose mechanical characteristics were tested in accordance with Polish and American standards.
