NUMERICAL MODEL FOR DYNAMIC SIMULATION OF TRAFFIC FLOW

For the purpose of practical applications in traffic engineering, especially in automatically controlled traffic systems, this paper presents a numerical model for dynamic simulation of traffic flow, involving difference schemes, boundary conditions and their discrete forms, the expressions of traffic behavior parameters and a technique of modeling parameter identification. The analysis of the numerical modeling for several realistic examples shows the usefulness and advantages of the model.
