SMART DRESS REQUIRED
This short article reviews the options available for maintaining flexible pavements using surface dressing rather than patching and overlay resurfacing. The cost effectiveness of surface dressing is discussed as are the changes in maintenance strategy required. A guide to the best type of dressing for use on sites ranging from easy to very difficult is provided. The relationship between binder type and performance requirement is discussed.
