PRECAST CONCRETE ON THE MOVE
The hazards associated with transporting precast concrete building components are considered. The processes of loading and unloading are examined and procedures specified. These cover lifting, tying down, positioning of the vehicle, documentation and liason with yard and site personnel. A checklist of items for the driver to carry out is provided. A number of specific hazards are noted.
