A GEOGRAPHICALLY - ORIENTED MARKETING MODEL OF AUTOMOBILE TOURIST FLOWS FROM THE UNITED STATES TO CANADA

The specific purpose of the study was to model tourist flows from the continental United States to regions in Canada. It reveals some of the criteria which determine the number of auto parties travelling to Canada and develops a formula which can predict these numbers for a given time period. Time was also spent in discussing models in general and the statistical technique behind them, with the aim of acquainting Canadian Government Office of Tourism officials with their uses. /RTAC/
