COMPUTER PROCEDURE FOR PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF SHIPS WITH SEA-RIVER OPERATIONS

This paper presents a methodology and algorithms for the design of ships with sea-river operations for liquid, bulk and general cargo. The computer programs are composed of linearly performed independent modules, grouped according to a functional feature. Each module belongs to one of five groups: input-output, ship mathematical model, restrictions, optimization algorithm, or control. The modules of the mathematical model can be used either independently or as a part of the system for ship design in the initial stages.
