CLEAN SEAS WITH SHIPBOARD INCINERATION
The author begins by discussing the huge quantities of vessel wastes that are produced aboard ships and by enumerating the regulations that have been enacted to prevent marine pollution from disposal of these wastes. He posits that the most practical and economical way to comply with the regulations is for individual vessels to be equipped with onboard incinerators. The incinerators produced by Team Tec A/S are then described. It is noted that they are available in a wide range of sizes suitable for all types of vessels from fishing boats to very large passenger ships.
