FIRE-BLOCKING SHEET AND WRAPPING

FPC Fire Block, a new soft silicone foam rubber with flexible fiberglass backing, is described. The product, developed by Bisco Products in Park Ridge, Illinois, has exceptional fire protection properties: it does not burn, does not give off any critical levels of toxic fumes, and generates practically no smoke even when held in a flame. It also will not readily conduct heat, protecting anything behind it from burning or charring.
