It is explained how the wake equalizing duct accelerates the inflow of the propeller in the area of powerful wake and reduces the required propulsive power. It accomplishes this by improving propeller efficiency, generating a lift with a forward force component on the aerofoil section and reducing the flow separation at the afterbody. The propeller-excited vibrations are reduced by the decreased propeller tip loading.
