FLUE-GAS RECIRCULATION WORKS FOR PACKAGED BOILERS, TOO
The use of flue-gas recirculation for the control of nitrogen oxides has worked successfully for large utility and industrial boilers. It is told how the technique is now being extended to small firetube and watertube units. Two different burner designs that can be used to introduce the recirculated flue gas are described, and the equipment modifications and system control panel that are required are discussed.
