FIRE PROTECTION ON LARGE CRUISER SHIPS
The increase in demand in the cruise sector has resulted in the design of large cruise ships that call for new solutions in the area of fire protection. This paper considers some of the problems that have been encountered in designing such ships to satisfy fire protection requirements. The criteria adopted by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) on behalf of the Administrations that have delegated RINA to deal with fire protection are also described.
