Various types of windbreakers designed to improve working conditions in floating docks have been proposed in recent years. New floating docks are supplied with end windbreakers, and they have even been installed on docks in ship repair yards. The author describes what he regards as the most successful of the installations. It consists of two capron net panels for the bow part of the dock, their section tent-shaped with a base equal to 1/10th of their height. The air flow penetrates the first panel and loses speed as a result of that panel's resistance. It is then "destroyed" in the space between the panels.
