CONTROLLERS FOR STEP-BY-STEP MOTORS

This article reviews several varieties of devices for controlling step-by-step motors. These devices can be built on the basic structure of shift register positions with cross-coupled and correcting links of integral microcircuits. Discrete electric drives with step-by-step motors are finding more and more use in shipboard automation, and the switchgear for controlling these motors constitutes a main subassembly in these electric drives.
