TIPS, TRICKS, AND TRAPS WHEN PURCHASING AND USING MARINE FUELS
This paper discusses at length the fuel characteristics that directly affect the cost of fuel. It assumes that the fuel bought is of suitable quality, able to be used in a "trouble-free" fashion, and concentrates on quality characteristics that have the most significant impact. Viscosity and density are the major characteristics in this category, and despite widespread familiarity with these qualities, a great deal of further enlightenment concerning them is provided.
