PROBLEMS USING NATURAL GAS AS RIVER SHIP FUEL

Natural gas has become a rather common automotive fuel in the USSR and its use in diesel engines--specifically, as motor fuel for the river fleet--is being analyzed quite seriously. The considerations and problems associated with this proposed use of natural gas, whose basic component is methane, are discussed.
