A MIXING METHOD OF MARINE FUEL OIL
The capabilities of an A/C Fuel Oil Blender marketed under the trade name THERMORATER are discussed. The unit is described as being more economical and simpler in design than conventional types. Its components include a 3-way automatic mixing valve of the diaphragm type, a static mixer, and a control unit. The equipment controls the optimal mixing ratio by simultaneously measuring the temperatures of A and C types of fuel oil at the inlet of the mixing valve and the temperature at the outlet of the static mixer. It also features automatic control of A/C fuel oil changeover; program control of A/C fuel oil ratio, based on engine load; and maintenance of optimal viscosity. The equipment features fewer moving parts, less maintenance, and the practicability of remote control.
