LUBRICANTS AND THE RELATIONSHIP WITH FUEL OIL
It is explained how the formulation of lubricants must include consideration not only of technical changes in engines, but of changes in fuel oils, as well. The absence of standards for marine engine lubricants is also discussed, along with the critical importance of additives, the use by his company--a lubricant manufacturer--of a medium-speed diesel test engine, and the conduct of low-speed diesel engine trials.
