ON LOAD FLUCTUATION ACTING ON A BLADE OF PROPELLER IN WAVES, 1ST REPORT
Although the load fluctuation acting on the blade of a propeller in waves had been studied theoretically, no experimental verification was known to the authors. They therefore devised a device to measure the load. Tank tests were carried out under conditions in which the open boat was restrained and the propeller was appropriately submerged. Data on the load were successfully obtained.
