RECIPROCITY RELATIONS FOR THE HYDRODYNAMIC COEFFICIENTS OF BODIES WITH FORWARD SPEED

One well-known mathematical relation for the linearized potential problem when a ship has forward speed is the Timman-Newman relation. This paper presents a preliminary theoretical argument suggesting that when a large forward speed is involved, the Timman-Newman relation may not be valid.
