RESONANCE TORSIONAL OSCILLATIONS IN MARINE DIESEL PLANT SHAFTING

One of the most important aspects of calculating torsional oscillations in marine diesel plant shafting is the determination of resonance oscillation amplitude. The author presents an analysis and generalization of calculated and experimental data on these oscillations that enables combining differential and statistical methods of accounting for friction in system components and using a probabilistic approach to the amplitude determination.
