COATINGS TO PREVENT OR REDUCE SHIP SUPERSTRUCTURE ICING--FOREIGN TECHNOLOGY SURVEY, VOLUME 1: MAIN REPORT

This document reports on efforts to obtain information on topside anti-icing coatings available from foreign sources. The project included both a database search of the technical literature, and a mail survey of more than 150 organizations, mainly in Europe and Canada, focusing primarily on paint and coating manufacturers. The literature review yielded little new information on coatings available, while responses to the mail survey gave a few useful leads on new anti-icing coating systems.
