DELIVERY SYSTEMS FOR NAUTICAL TRAINING
The author reviews the advantages of various types of nautical training that are available: the system involving a paramilitary corps of cadets, such as is found at the Merchant Marine Academy; formal classroom training; on-the-job training; correspondence training; and cassette tape training; He then shows that a company's training program will be effective if the real training needs are determined, if those needs are matched with the possible teaching systems, and if the possible teaching systems are matched with the logistic realities of the particular situation.
