WATER DEPTHS REQUIRED FOR SHIP NAVIGATION
The report on water depths required for ship navigation, outlines current data availability and design criteria, and stresses the need for future research to aid the navigation planning of safe and economic ship channels in restricted waterways. Methods used to quantify factors influencing ship movement in restricted waters, such as vessel sinkage or squat, are presented.
