This presentation deals with the hydrodynamic aspects of some new designs and devices aimed at increasing propulsive efficiency, such as speed adapted propellers, various types of propeller nozzles, wake improvement ducts, tip vortex-free propellers, and a vane wheel called the Grim wheel, after its inventor.
