BASIC RADIOGRAPHY. 12-DENSE METAL WELDS
A brief review of the types of weld and a selection of weld geometries suitable for radiography are given. The types of flaws that can be detected and the preparation of specimens are discussed. The factors governing the choice of exposure conditions, the control of radiographic quality and the choice of angles of view are outlined. Finally, the author lists the more recent British Standards and AMTS Codes of Practice relating specifically to radiography and appends a useful bibliography of 'further reading'.
