MOTION PICTURE METHOD OF STUDYING MATERIALS AT VARIOUS LOADING RATES
Series of methods developed for studying the fracture process of materials with various rates of applied loading by pendulums down to zero. The methods are based on the use of high speed motion pictures of a hammer impact on a specimen. To record the processes that take place during an impact, the types SFR ultrafast photographic recorder operating at a rate of 480,000 frames/sec was employed.
