ESTIMATION OF REQUIRED THRUSTER CAPACITY FOR OPERATION OF OFFSHORE VESSELS UNDER SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS
The effects of wave-induced motions upon thruster characteristics were studied in model tests of a diving support vessel. The tests included the influence of propeller shaft immersion, relative motions, wave periods, inclination of the thruster shaft and Froude number.
