CONTROL VALVE SIZING FORMULAS
Until very recently, control valve sizing was more an art than a science. Extensive work done during the last decade now allows very accurate prediction of required valve size. The well known liquid and vapor sizing equations do have limitations, and some modifications need to be applied to extend the usefulness of the standard equations.
