URBAN TRAFFIC IN GREAT BRITAIN
EL TRAFFICO EN AREAS URBANAS EN INGLATERRA
The author recalls that urban traffic presents many problems of accidents, pollution, noise, time loss, etc, and comments on the evolution in traffic during the last sixty years in Great Britain, and the problems encountered in towns built for past traffic conditions. Details are given of the planning of new towns (Basingstoke, Crawley, Stevenage) and the results obtained. Mention is made of the attempt by professor buchanan to establish environmental standards.
