NUMERICAL DREDGING
The article is a progress report on a research project into dredging techniques. The project was initiated to improve operational techniques using computer analysis. The study involves a mathematical model which tests the cost and practicality of existing and planned dredging operations. The results of testing have been satisfactory thus far. The computerization of the process is now in progress. It is hoped that the computer will be able to consider additional variables such as dredgability and economics of the system.
