TRAFFIC GENERATION AND FAST-FOOD RESTAURANTS
To assist in evaluating previously published data, information was obtained and evaluated for the Norwalk, Conn. McDonald's restaurant. Tables are presented which indicate hourly, daily and monthly variations in customer transactions for the Norwalk store. Peak hours of restaurant activity are indicated. The customer transaction data suggest a factor of about 1.8 times the average hour for the peak activity hour (noon to 1 p.m.). Knowledge of the particular market and potential activity of the restaurant would be the guide in determining particular peak hour operation ratios. In some areas the restaurant, are open for breakfast, thus affecting not only the total hours of operation but also the traffic generation.
