EMPLOYEE COMMUTE OPTIONS DEMONSTRATION PROJECT: A PROGRESS REPORT
This is a report on the Chicago Area Transportation Study (CATS) Employee Commute Options (ECO) demonstration Program, and the Employee Commute Options Act of 1993. According to the latter, Employers with 100 or more employees at a single site must have a peak period average person occupancy of at least 25% above the regional average vehicle occupancy. This paper discusses employee surveys and commute option preferences, as well as average vehicle occupancy and average person occupancy calculations. Areas of progress are noted.
